It’s that time of year, Annual Meetings

Sunday February 5th is Cavan’s Annual Meeting. Come out and hear the reports from the past year, have a part in the decisons that are made. Church is at 11:00 a.m. with lunch following, then the meeting. See you there!

This means that Northside will have church at 9:30 this week. This gives you an opportunity to go to church early and spend more time with your family after. Remind your friends.

Cavan Welcomes Back Rev. Bruce Cook

We look forward to seeing a friend, Rev. Bruce will be speaking at Cavan on Sunday, October 23rd. Bruce and Donna and their children were a part of our church family a few years ago and we welcome you back to our church to help us celebrate our anniversary. There will be lunch following the service. There will not be a service at Northside so all can attend.

Northside Anniversary Service — This Sunday!

October 16th is the day we reconize our church history with a special service. The service will be at 11:00 a.m. with guest minister Terry Fletcher. There will be special music also. There will be lunch following the service and those who are able are asked to bring sandwiches and desserts. We look forward to seeing you there. Please note there will be no service at Cavan for this Sunday only.

Christmas House Tours, a great way to spend time with friends

Northside is hosting a Christmas House tour again this year. For those who have never been, it is a great way to spend time with your best friends or family to get yourself in the mood for Christmas. The homes and Northside church will be decortated by local businesses to showcase their wares and give you great ideas for your own home. You can tour them in any order, and enjoy refreshments at the church along the way.

The tickets are only $10.00 for the tour, November 18th – 20th. You can visit them all in one day or take 2 or 3 days to do it. It will start on Friday night and end late Sunday afternoon. Call the church for tickets (519 527.1449) or email us at uccavns@tcc.on.ca

Sorry to those of you who have been looking for new information here, life has been crazy and unfortunately this has been one of the things I have neglected. I will try to do better or if there is anyone in the congregations who would like to participate with the site please talk to me.

Easter Morning

There will be a Sunrise Service at Northside at 7:30 followed by breakfast. Cavan will be having their service at the usual 9:30 a.m.. Northside will have their regular service at 11:00 a.m. Please join us for the Easter celebrations.

Confirmation Classes Starting

Young people 13 yrs. old (Grade 8) or young adults who haven’t been confirmed, confirmation classes will run March 2 – April 13, 2011 (not March break). This program will run Wednesday nights after school 4 – 6 pm. Please contact Minister Mary Fletcher if you would like to join (519-527-2635).
